When building your house there’ll be spots in the walls where you will want to install windows and we at Tilia Developments would do our utmost best to create the ideal window frames for you. In order to do this, we’ll need to frame an opening in the wall where the window unit will fit. But not until we reach that point of the construction project where window planning would be needed.

Before deciding to frame a window opening, we’d first need to determine where the consumer wants the opening to be located and the size of the opening. The opening is the hole in the wall frame, where the window will be placed. It should be framed so the top, bottom, and side measurements are about ¼” larger than the actual size of the window unit. This is so that we can make final adjustments of the window to make sure that it’s plumb, level, and square.
